No, a referral is not required. However, if you are recovering from a recent surgery or under active medical care, we recommend consulting your physician before beginning any new exercise program. We’re happy to coordinate with your healthcare team.

Back Pain & Rehabilitation

Physical therapy typically focuses on acute recovery and is often limited by insurance. We bridge the gap between PT discharge and full return to life — offering longer sessions, whole‑body conditioning, and ongoing support to prevent re‑injury. We are not a replacement for medical treatment but an ideal complement.

Many clients report reduced pain and better mobility within 4–6 sessions. Lasting structural changes typically take 8–12 weeks of consistent practice. We focus on gradual, sustainable progress — not quick fixes.

Absolutely, once your surgeon has cleared you for exercise. Our rehabilitation program is specifically designed for post‑surgical clients, with an emphasis on gentle core reactivation and safe movement patterns.

Pricing & Packages

We offer three plans: Starter ($120/month), Recovery ($245/month), and Intensive ($420/month). Each plan includes a different number of sessions and benefits. See our pricing page for full details.

Drop‑ins are available for existing members who want extra sessions at $35 per group class. New clients must start with a free assessment or a Starter package — this ensures we understand your back before you join a group.

No. All plans are month‑to‑month. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time with 7 days' notice before your next billing cycle.

In many cases, yes. We provide detailed receipts with the necessary codes that you can submit to your HSA or FSA provider for reimbursement. Check with your plan administrator for specifics.

Booking & Logistics

Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing — leggings or sweatpants and a t‑shirt are perfect. We provide all equipment, mats, and water. Just bring yourself and any relevant medical reports if you have them.

We’re at 1230 Sutter Street, Suite 201, in the heart of San Francisco (Lower Nob Hill / Van Ness area). The studio is one block from the Van Ness Muni station. Street parking and nearby garages are available. View map.
